Internal Medicine | Beverly Hills
An internal medicine physician, or “internist,” is a doctor who specializes in all of the internal systems of the body. The internist’s role is often one of a gatekeeper: keeping a close eye on all of the patient’s bodily systems to holistically maintain health, and prevent or manage chronic illnesses.
The driving force of my practice for the past thirty years has been patient advocacy. This requires listening to my patients, understanding their lives and how it affects their health, and promoting wellness through education and partnering for preventative care.
Unrestricted time with each patient – along with a multidisciplinary and integrative approach – enables me to offer the ultimate in personalized medicine. Should an advanced disease process present itself, I leverage my established relationships with renowned subspecialists – including pulmonologists, neurologists, oncologists and several others – to ensure that each of my patients receives the highest standard of medical care available.
We are a small office – one receptionist and one nurse – however we also have a staff of nurses that can provide home care. And I am available, along with my experienced and compassionate staff, 24/7.
Individualized Heath Plans
Every patient is different. Therefore every patient’s health plan must be individualized. One therapy does not fit all. Treating illness requires a team. My practice includes specialists who are similarly dedicated to the best care available. I have nurtured very close relationships with medical specialists, including general surgeons, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, cardiologists, neurologists, dermatologists, pulmonologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, addictionologists, nutritionists, acupuncturists, hypnotherapists, and exercise specialists. My close relationships with the imaging centers and laboratories also insures that the appropriate testing and reporting is available without delay, thus minimizing the anxiety that accompanies such scary testing.
Treating the Entire Family
As a general internist, I have the privilege of treating the entire family. Treating the grandchildren of the grandparents that I began doctoring when I began my practice gives me a great sense of pride. No other profession allows for this opportunity to take the journey with a family through the hospitalizations, serious illnesses, deaths, births, birthdays, weddings, and every major event. This close relationship becomes the backbone of the doctor-patient relationship.
I am blessed with patient connections that extend in some families to three generations. These relationships are the nourishment that motivates and inspires my love for being a doctor.
